Hello! we have an AKCP securityProbe 5E, it was stuck in safe mode for a long time now and not working normally. I’ve tried to upgrade its firmware but found a lot of block blocks during scanning of SD card. It asks to continue scanning but it looks stuck, neither there is confirm nor cancel option. Since there is a lot of bad blocks found I just decided to shutdown the device as it can’t proceed with the firmware upgrade. Can you please tell us what shall we do and how to fix it? Thanks.

Hello,
You will need to fist replace the SD card with a new 4 to 8GB replacement SD card. There is no need to format the new replacement.
Then run theses instructions Steps for a successful firmware upload AKCP
Along with the latest firmware for your unit located on our website support portal here;
