E-sensor8 & E-opto16 expansion units on AKCP SP+ base units AKCP Remote Sensor Monitoring

Hello AKCP Team,

We were wondering if your AKCP E-sensor8 & E-opto16 expansion units are compatible with the SP+ units and if so, how are they connected?

Hello AKCP Customer,

Thank you for your questions. Yes both of the expansion units E-sensor8 and E-opto16 are compatible with the SP+ units. These are connected to the SPX+ EXP port, and the SP2+E port. They will not work if connected to the SP+ sensor port(s).

They also require connecting their external AC power adapters in order to function properly. Also keep in mind the E-opto16 connections require a DC power source as they are true “dry” contact inputs.
