Vibration sensor – detects forced entry – connects to AKCP base units – adjustable sensitivity – instigates security alarms
Bangkok, Thailand – December 9, 2010 – AKCP Inc., announces the launch of the new vibrationDetect Sensor. This new sensor forms a vital part of any secure premises and works with other AKCP security products. The AKCP vibrationDetect Sensor identifies vibrations and is ideal for placing on external windows. The sensor will detect a broken window or other forced entry through walls, ceilings, safes and cabinets, etc.
The AKCP vibrationDetect Sensor can be connected to AKCP base units and linked to notification alerts to initiate an alarm when a vibration is detected. A built-in tamper switch is independent from the circuit of the vibration detector and the vibration contacts are adjustable to suit different surfaces – glass, wood, steel, plasterboard, or brick. Pure silver contact points ensure years of fail-safe operation and the sensor is enclosed in a dust tight ABS case that is small and inconspicuous for easy installation.
New vibrationDetect Sensor
- Detects broken glass.
- Adjustable sensitivity.
- Connects to AKCP base units for alerts and alarms
The vibrationDetect Sensor can be plugged into the AKCP sensorProbe or AKCP securityProbe via the RJ-45 dry contact sensors enabling the unit to measure vibrations. The sensor can also be directly connected to the dry contact inputs on the sensorProbe8-X20, sensorProbe8-X60, securityProbeX-20 and securityProbe-X60 units allowing security protection for multiple windows using only a single base unit. Once connected to a base unit you can set parameters to trigger alerts like e-mail, SMS, phone calls and SNMP traps. These alerts enable you to quickly identify the exact location of vibration or forced entry.
For more detailed information take a look at the datasheet. The new vibrationDetect sensor can be ordered directly from AKCP or from any one of our many dealers located around the world. Visit www.akcp.com for more information on this and related products.
